Inspired Garden Designs
It’s all about creating a joyful place in your patch of nature.
Cheryl Pryatel
Owner & Landscape Lover
I have had a lifelong obsession with plants, gardens and creativity.
Growing up in a garden loving family, the garden was always filled with beautiful flowers, shrubs, and trees along with delicious fruits and vegetables. My grandfather always had a task for me to do to help keep the garden flourishing. Garden time was our special time together.
My green thumb grew through the years and experimented with Mediterranean, Australian and other waterwise plant families to understand how they can thrive and be a part of a lush landscape in San Diego. My own garden is a testimony to the intertwining of a variety of plant types to match the different conditions in the various parts of the garden, yet have a cohesive design. My garden is chock full of plants with different textures and colors, thoughtful placement of boulders, water features and other artful materials.
My true passion was realized when I decided to create Inspired Garden Designs so I could share my love of a garden with others. Upon retiring, I dove into garden design and refreshing gardens. I take great pride in the thoughtful details added to every design that make each client’s garden unique and special. Besides enjoying a job well done, I adore seeing each client become enthused again about their garden and the stories shared of how the garden made a positive change in their lives.
Garden design, planting, shopping and creating joyous spaces for clients makes every day the best day ever! I can’t wait to talk to you about how we can refresh your garden.

Community Commitment
Something I am also passionate about is supporting my community and especially those that have had a harder road to travel. I try and give back in many ways – random acts of kindness, monetary support, and boots-on-the-ground volunteering.
I am committed to sharing the success of Inspired Garden Designs with the community too. I am pledging 10% of my labor revenue and volunteering time to the following community driven organizations:
